Purple Ventures is the venture capital arm of Purple Group. It invests in early-stage technology startups at pre-seed and seed stages, with an initial ticket size of €250k–€400k and follow-on capacity.
The fund was established by Jakub Nytra, Jan Staněk, and Jan Davídek - who bring direct experience from building and operating companies. The investment approach is informed by that experience: operational knowledge of what it takes to build a technology company from early stage to functioning business. Purple Ventures operates two funds. Its primary geographic focus is Central and Eastern Europe, though it invests outside the region when a specific opportunity warrants it. Building on a €15 million first fund, the current vehicle has a target size of €40 million and aims to build a portfolio of up to 50 companies. The investment horizon is 4–7 years, with minority equity stakes. The fund co-invests alongside angel investors and other VCs, leading up to 50% of rounds.
